Class Description

Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27, March 6, 13 Thursdays 4:00 - 530 This 6 week intensive acting course is geared toward the more serious young actor who wants an intensive instruction to Film/T.V acting and auditioning. This is perfect for students who have a true love of acting and are considering, or pursuing, acting professionally. This does not require students to have prior acting training, simply that they have a love of the art and are ready to work! Students will need to be memorizing and rehearsing on their own outside of class. Students will be working on scenes from popular Film and T.V. shows they know and love as well as acting exercises to build their abilities. Some of this work will be on-camera. We will be learning professional on-camera acting basics and methods, building character and emotion, script analysis, differences between Theatre, Film and T.V. acting, learning audition techniques, understanding genre and tone, learning camera basics such as eyelines, lighting, marks and how to bring those scenes to life. We will also discuss the life and possibilities of being a professional performer. I have had 25 years acting on set with top Hollywood directors, actors, and casting directors and I pour every ounce of my experience into these kids. On camera skills are invaluable nowadays since we are so linked to technology. These are skills they can use in many different areas of work outside of acting as well. I specifically like to focus on what makes each student special, bringing their own personality to each performance and the unique qualities that make them stand out. Most importantly, we will have FUN, while building our confidence and passion for the craft! Held at the Radiant Learning Collective, 486 Town Plaza Ave. Suite 450, Ponte Vedra Florida.
