Class Description

Step into the spotlight and join us for an unforgettable summer adventure at our pay-by-the-day acting camp. Each day is a new journey through scenes from your favorite movies and TV shows, where kids get to be the stars of the show! On this day, children will play sleuths as we learn scenes from Clue and Nancy Drew. We will dress u like the fancy characters from the popular boardgame. But also, we play tons of theater games, get to know each other, laugh like loonies, and even do an escape room! We'll play running charades and Wink Wink as well. There won't be enough time in the day! Held at the Radiant Collective in Nocatee, this space has 3 bright yet cozy rooms, with tons of space, books, games, arts and crafts, giant sofa, T.V., forts for hiding and building, and a kids library. Schedules will roughly follow this: 9 :00 - greetings, warm-ups, games 10:15 - acting lesson of the day 10:30 - break and snack 10:45 - casting, scene work 12:00 - lunch 12:30 - mysteries and escape room 2:00 - scene work and performing 3:00 - Home I specifically like to focus on what makes each student special, bringing their own personality to each performance and the unique qualities that make them stand out. Students will build confidence in themselves as performers. Most importantly we will have FUN and remember that the basis of acting is play. After care is $10/hour from 3-5.
