Wizarding and Wonka Performance Camp

Class Description

Welcome Wizards and Wonkians! Get ready to have the time of your life in this immersive acting camp! Campers will create the worlds of Harry Potter and Willy Wonka through acting, music, set, costume and prop design. We will immerse ourselves in these magical worlds for two weeks and prepare for an end of camp performance that will showcase our work for parents and friends. We will be sorted into houses, find our patronuses, create our own wands, compete in House Tournaments and themed running charades games and learn the acting techniques to bring it all to life. Each camper will split their day between acting in scenes from these two beloved film series and creating the backdrops and artistry that helps create the worlds of the films. This is an experience they are not likely to forget! This camp will be co-directed by an amazing educator and friend of mine, Jo Lawson at the Radiant Learning Center in Nocatee. This camp is limited to 20 performers and kept small so that students have the chance to delve into their acting performance and get a real understanding of building an entire theatre performance behind the scenes as well. The camp will run from 9 - 3 with the option for extended day care. The final performances will be Friday, June 14. That day only we will go until 6 for our performance and celebration.
